The EM-I87J (8-inch display) and EM-I17J (10.1-inch display) share core architecture and ruggedized design but differ strategically: the larger screen on the I17J delivers expanded real estate for graphics-intensive tasks like CAD viewing, schematics, and technical drawings. Its dedicated I/O expansion area supports configurable options — USB-A, RJ45 Ethernet, or DB9 serial — based on customer deployment needs.
Both models are powered by quad-core Intel Celeron® N5100 (“Jasper Lake”) processors and run Windows 10 Professional, ensuring responsive operation under demanding workloads. Standard configurations include 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC storage, with expansion via an externally accessible SD Card slot.
A 5000mAh high-capacity battery enables full-shift runtime, and both support PD Fast-Charging. For fixed-station use, battery-free operation is supported via AC/DC power supply — eliminating battery dependency where continuous power is available.
Expansion capabilities include 5MP front and 8MP rear cameras for documentation, remote collaboration, and video conferencing. An optional integrated high-performance 2D imager supports barcode scanning in logistics, warehousing, and field service. Wired connectivity comprises USB 3.0 and mini-HDMI; wireless includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, dedicated GNSS (GPS/Glonass/BeiDou), and embedded 4G LTE for robust data transfer and precise location tracking — even in remote or low-infrastructure areas.
Both tablets meet IP65 ingress protection standards and are MIL-STD-810G certified for shock, vibration, temperature extremes, dust, and water resistance. Their reinforced chassis and rugged construction withstand drops, spills, bumps, and harsh weather. Operating temperature range spans -20°C to +60°C.
