Emdoor’s newly launched rugged handheld EM-T60 is the first and only full-screen model in the ET series.
We evaluated its design, build quality, performance, connectivity, imaging, scanning capabilities, and environmental resilience.

The box includes a Type-C charging cable and lanyard. The charger outputs 5V/2A (10W), matching standard industrial PDA expectations.

At just 220g and under 10mm thick, the EM-T60 feels more like a premium smartphone than a traditional industrial PDA—lightweight, slim, and ergonomic.
The front features only a front-facing camera and earpiece, delivering clean aesthetics and unobstructed screen real estate.

The rear houses a 16MP camera and a continuous lanyard slot—dual elongated apertures aligned vertically with an integrated convex groove for visual cohesion and grip guidance. An NFC logo sits centrally between them.

Curved edges enhance palm fit and comfort. The textured surface provides both visual depth and anti-slip functionality. Key hardware includes: a top-mounted scan engine; TF and SIM slots, dual volume keys, and an orange scan button on the right; power and customizable buttons on the left; and a bottom-mounted Type-C port, microphone, and speaker.

The device uses a fully integrated, screwless unibody design—the front and rear shells are non-modular, with the display directly secured into the rear housing. Seams are tight, and functional layout remains intuitive and streamlined.
Booting reveals Google’s official ‘Powered by Android’ branding and pre-installed Play Store access—confirming Google Mobile Services (GMS) certification and full compatibility with genuine Google apps.

A 5.7-inch ultra-narrow-bezel display delivers immersive visuals with FHD+ resolution (720×1440).

It runs Android 10 with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, dual SIM support, 16MP rear + 13MP front cameras, and a MediaTek octa-core ARM processor clocked up to 2.0GHz—delivering robust performance for demanding enterprise workflows.

Benchmark testing yielded an overall score of 185,867 (CPU: 77,370; GPU: 33,077)—more than sufficient for multitasking. Real-world validation included playing *Honor of Kings* at full settings with zero frame drops or stuttering.

Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE (full Netcom), NFC, and wireless hotspot relay capability—verified by successfully sharing internet from the EM-T60 to another device over local Wi-Fi.
The camera interface defaults to photo mode with up to 4× digital zoom, HDR support, and multiple shooting modes. Settings allow selection among three aspect ratios (default: 4:3); video recording supports both 1080p and 720p with crisp detail.

Scanning performance is exceptional: barcode capture via text input or the dedicated scanning app is near-instantaneous. The built-in scanner utility enables granular control—including scan trigger mode, symbology selection, duration, continuous scan toggle, and illumination settings.

IP67-rated for dust and water immersion (1m for 30 minutes) and certified for 1.2m drops onto concrete—validated in lab tests: after submerging for 60 seconds in standby mode, the unit powered on and operated flawlessly; free-fall from 1m produced no cosmetic or functional damage.

In summary, the EM-T60 stands out in the rugged handheld segment for its balanced blend of consumer-grade ergonomics, enterprise-grade durability, modern Android ecosystem integration, and purpose-built scanning intelligence.
Upcoming reviews will cover the two remaining models in Emdoor’s new ET series—stay tuned.
